Ricotta Lemon Cupcakes with Almond

Adapted this recipe from foodnetwork. Made these cupcakes earlier today, boy, oh boy, they were absolutely divine. Buttery, moist, and lemony. Ricatto cheese made these lovely cupcakes super moist, both lemon juice and zest added citrus and refreshing taste. I did change a few things: I used 1 1/2 cups white whole wheat flour, 1/2 cup all-purpose flour, 1/2 cup turbinado sugar and 1/4 cup dark brown sugar. As the pictures show, they turned out beautiful and tasted delicious.
